I’m one of four Willow daughters.
He’s the first-born son of the Scafoni family. And we have history.
For generations, the Scafoni family have demanded a sacrifice of us. A virgin daughter to atone for sins so old, we don’t even remember what they are anymore.
But when you have as much money as they do, you don’t play by the rules. You make them.
And Sebastian Scafoni makes all the rules.
The moment I saw him, I knew he would choose me. Even though the mark on my sheath declared me unclean. Even though my beautiful sisters stood beside me, offered to him, he still chose me.
He made me his.
And then he set out to break me.

REVIEW
I remember having read the blurb for Taken some time ago and was immediately intrigued by it and put it on my TBR list. So when I got the chance to listen to the audio books for both Taken & Torn I jumped all over it and really can’t say enough about these narrators!
Not only was this a new to me author but these were also new to me narrators. Michael Pauley and MacKenzie Cartwright did an amazing job giving me all the emotions of this book!
Now I don’t want to give too much away about the book but if you are looking for something a little more dark, a little twisted and something that might make you want to throw your kindle out the window.. This is the book for you! I love my lighthearted romances but sometimes you need something to really pull at all those emotions.
Helena and Sebastian broke my heart so many times and Taken ends on a cliffhanger that will have you on the edge of your seat.
If you are like me and can not handle cliffhangers, make sure you have Torn readily available to dive right into after you finish Taken.

Taking her is my right.
Breaking her, my duty.
I was always going to choose Helena. I knew it the instant I saw her.
She’s different than the others. There’s a darkness about her. Something wild inside her. And it calls to the beast inside me.
But she isn’t what I expect. With every word and every touch, she pushes me, burrows deep under my skin, challenging the rules, upending history.
And all the while, I see how my brother watches her. He wants her, and as the rules stand, she’ll become his in one year’s time.
Except that I have no intention of giving her up.

REVIEW
What an intense conclusion to this duet! I am so glad I had Torn queued up and ready to go as I finished listening Taken because I never would have been able to handle that cliffhanger without it!
That narrators continued to do a fantastic job with Torn and they seriously made my work days go by so much quicker while listening to them tell this story.
Now, I believe its mentioned in a lot of reviews Sebastian’s brother, Gregory, has a huge role in the second half of this duet. When I read the reviews and found this out I was a little taken back at first and a little unsure if I’m being honest.
Somehow though, Natasha Knight (as well as the narrators) managed to pull it off. I was still invested in Sebastian with Helena but was able to be drawn to Gregory.
While Gregory’s book, Twisted wasn’t available in audio when I listened to this duet, it was available in ebook and you betcha I immediately dived into his story right after!
I really can’t say enough about this story and, the narrators! Even if you normally go for the more lighthearted romances, take a break for a minute and give this dark twisty mind-fuck a chance. You won’t be sorry!
